For our Business Unit High Voltage Products in Zurich-Oerlikon, we are looking for a R&D Engineer to strengthen our team of experts within the Technology Center. In this role you will be a R&D engineer with focus on development of new High Voltage Circuit Breakers, contributing with own ideas to identify, propose and implement innovative technology and to solve industrial problems independently. Your responsibilities
- Contribute to new product and core component development of High Voltage Circuit Breakers in close cooperation with engineers and technical experts
- Be part of the global R&D team to share and further knowledge in targeted areas of expertise in High Voltage Circuit Breakers
- Carry out and lead engineering simulations with commercial and in-house tools
- Be part of the experimental campaigns of High Voltage Circuit Breakers and analyze test results in close collaboration with the technical expert teams, testing laboratories and research centers
Your background
- Master’s degree in electrical, high voltage engineering, applied physics, or a closely related subject from a Polytechnical/Technical University
- Practical oriented way of working, hands-on
- Self-oriented, committed, willing to learn
- Excellent communication skills and proactive mentality
- Genuine enthusiasm for research and development in an interdisciplinary, application-oriented field
- Flexibility, capability of working in a multicultural environment
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
