Requirements

We are looking for a driven and analytical Intern to join our FX Spot Trading Desk based in Zurich.

You need have completed at least four semesters of your bachelor’s degree. In particular, you have:

• excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• excellent German and English (written and oral); any other language would be an asset
• interest in financial markets and products
• good overall IT skill
• strong analytical skills and
• ability to thrive under pressure
• open-minded and direct personality
• high motivation and strong will to succeed

Your Team

UBS has a centralised Trading operation, which serves clients globally from four centres, Zurich, London, New York and Singapore.

The FX Spot Trading Team is providing liquidity, market colour to our customers and is managing the Banks FX Risk. The Intern’s role is that of a trading Assistant. Tasks will include assisting the trader monitoring and executing client orders, reporting of flows, levels and pricing, interacting with Sales and daily administrative tasks. A high level of focus in a demanding environment will be required. During the 6 months you will gain a broad understanding of the FX-markets and its liquidity and what an impact news, political events and economic data can have on currencies and metals.
