Your role

Do you have sharp analytic skills? Do you know how to automate tasks and develop scripts or even program software robots? We’re looking for someone like that to:

  • Create new automation solutions based on scripts or robotic tools to enable large migration processes.
  • Support Project Managers in the delivery of different tasks like requirements management, project planning, resource planning, support in testing and other PMO activities

Internship
A 6 months internship is the ideal way to gain the work experience you’ll need to launch your career. It’s also an opportunity to work with and learn from some of the most successful people in finance. From the start of the program, you’ll be right at the heart of the business, being actively involved in the day-to-day action. You’ll not only learn about the infrastructure setup and application landscape of one of the largest financial institutions from all angles, you’ll also experience the unique workplace culture of UBS.

Your Team
You’ll be working in the Application Adoption Factory team based in Zurich and support the Switzerland goes Next Generation Network Infrastructure ( NGNI) program. We are responsible for the migration of 1000’s of applications, physical and virtual servers and devices from one setup to a new cloud based service oriented setup. Due to the sheer amount we need to automate or robotize everything possible.

Requirements

Your experience and skills
You need have finished at least four semesters at a university or a university of applied sciences, preferably in Mathematics, Electrical engineering, Computer Science or in a related field. In particular, you have:

  • strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
  • fluent English skills
  • a flexible, open-minded and cooperative personality
  • excellent interpersonal skills (and this is noticeable even when under pressure)
  • Basic office and VBA skills
  • Basic Programming skills (like C#, shell scripting)

Duration: 6 months
Start date: July 3, 2017
