Responsibilities & Profile

Your responsibilities

  • Deal strategy: advisory services for clients with investment activities in Chinese and European market when implementing transaction and growth strategies including corporate strategy update, joint venture and change management, with the focus on the hospitality client sector: food and beverage, hotel/real estate, tourism, airline, sport, and any other related field
  • Deal initialization: target sourcing, portfolio assessment, acquisition screening, and exit strategy; industrial and market analysis from the investors perspective
  • Transaction services: financial due diligence and vendor due diligence; developing transaction structure and pro-forma business plans/valuation
  • Post-transaction advisory: post-mergers integration (PMI), project management office (PMO), carve-out/split off and change management
  • Asset management: enterprise portfolio analysis to identify levers for optimization; business planning and post-investment management to enable the asset value added from the management and the operation, with the focus on the hospitality investment (hotel/real estate)
  • Cost strategy: implementation of strategic cost optimization programs and prepare business plans
  • Business development: support in strategy update and pipelines establishment for KPMG China Desk; foresee and review of all China and Europe related business opportunities and mandates
  • Primary contact for Chinese investors, clients and business partners

Your profile

  • Recognized university/applied sciences degree (Swiss or equivalent) in business management, economics, hospitality management or any related field. Knowledge of mergers & acquisitions, project management and/or asset management is preferred
  • Experience/Business engagement with Chinese key accounts and/or investment activities in Chinese and European service industry is preferred
  • Familiar with industrial analysis and market research methodologies. Good knowledge in Chinese and European consumer market is an advantage
  • Knowledge in corporate finance and valuation methodologies; comfortable working with numbers, metrics and spreadsheets
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of mental flexibility, being able to manage operational, managerial and financial topics in focus industries for Chinese investors (hospitality industries, consumer goods, etc.)
  • Ability to identify opportunities for growth and subsequently take a leadership role in exploring new ideas
  • Cross-cultural strategic thinking with good understanding of Chinese and European business mindset; advanced communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good China/Switzerland private/professional network highly preferred
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English
  • Excellent skills in MS-Office and Outlook; willingness to travel
