Your role

Do you have a knack for analysing processes and procedures? Are you able to be creative and build tools efficiently? We’re looking for someone like that who can support us with:

  • designing and producing financial tools from conception to realization
  • gathering and structuring information from different sources (Database, people)
  • programming databases with simple user interfaces
  • bringing broad technical and coding expertise
  • analysing data, finding gaps, defining next steps
  • improving end evolve cost management tools
  • controlling quality and ensuring timely delivery over the entire design and production process
  • assisting in the creation of presentations and financial reports ensuring appropriate messaging

Internship
Our 6 month internship is an ideal way to gain the work experience you’ll need to launch your career. It’s also an opportunity to work with and learn from some of our sharp people in finance. From the start of the program, you’ll be right at the heart of the business, taking part in the day-to-day operations. You’ll not only learn about the business of finance from top to bottom, you’ll also experience our unique workplace culture.

Your team
You’ll be working in the Group Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) team in Zurich and London. Our role is to provide the framework for the major development methodologies of UBS. We are the Chief Technology Officer function for the major build chains in use for Technology as well as for the entire SDLC related tooling related to the mandatory standard.

Your experience and skills
You need to have at least four semesters of your bachelor’s degree preferably in IT Economy, Business Administration or in a related field, and have not yet completed your master’s degree. In particular, you have:

  • good IT knowledge (MS-Access is an absolute must have, Developer and Database skills, MS Office)
  • fluent English and German skills
  • an interest in working in a fast-paced international environment as part of a team
  • sharp analytical and problem solving skills
  • a structured work style, confident working autonomously
  • a flexible, open-minded and cooperative personality (you’re a people person)
  • a gift for using numerical analysis, statistics and financial mathematics to solve practical problems

Start date: as soon as possible
Duration: 6 months
