These days, targeted electronic attacks on information systems as well as fraudulent acts have become more prevalent due to the permanent availability of information infrastructures. Our Forensic team is involved in detecting cyber incidents, such as hack attacks or data leakage, especially in the area of white-collar crime.

Responsibilities & Profile

Your responsibilities

  • Perform IT forensics, such as securing data, evaluation and documentation)
  • Select, secure, evaluate and interpret complex data sets drawn from various data sources and IT systems of different brands, using specialized tools and SQL
  • Support interdisciplinary investigative teams in technical questions
  • Summarize results from analyses and preparing recommendations based on these
  • Maintain and expand hardware and software of the Forensic lab

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with a major in Computer Science (applied science college or university) or completed apprenticeship in IT or electronics (with at least 3 years of professional experience in a technical IT environment)
  • Good understanding of hardware components and technologies (processors, bus systems, storage components)
  • Broad knowledge of computer network technologies (components, protocols)
  • Experience in virtualization solutions (HyperV, ESX)
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft operating systems. An understanding of MacOS, Linux or Unix is an advantage
  • Experience with one or several of the following programming languages: C++, Java, Python, SQL
  • Experience and knowledge in the area of computer forensics, reverse engineering and hacking are of advantage.
  • Fluent German and good English skills, French is a plus
  • Sense of responsibility, works well under pressure, flexibility, a sense of perseverance and assertiveness, as well as creativity and good team work
