Your role

Are you interested in working on projects across different Business Divisions of our firm? Do you want an opportunity to build and develop your project management skills? We’re looking for someone like that to:

  • Support the execution and delivery of projects as defined by the project managers
  • Actively contribute to the identification of key issues/opportunities, formulation and implementation of solutions relevant to the project
  • Support key project/program management activities in collaboration with offshore project/program management support resources (e.g., milestones/activity tracking, RAG status, management of action lists, etc.)
  • Build and maintain relationships within the PMC team, Corporate Center functions and Business Divisions

Graduate Talent Program
Our Graduate Talent Program (GTP) lasts 18 months. You’ll be directly involved in day-to-day operations, working with professionals and gaining first-hand experience of our business.

As well as on-the-job learning, you’ll get training on the financial markets, our products and other core business topics. Rotational assignments are a key part of the program. By taking on other roles in related departments, you’ll gain a wider perspective.

Besides all that, you’ll attend networking events, cross-business classes and social occasions where you’ll get to know us.

Your team

You’ll be working in the Project Management & Consulting (PMC) team in Zurich. The PMC team is a new team part of the Corporate Development & Performance organization and serves UBS internal clients across the bank, supporting business divisions/functions/regions with project management capabilities and enhanced staff leverage to deliver on change/project work.
PMC is a center of competence for specific functional areas (e.g., project/change management, problem
solving/solution space design, process optimization, etc.). PMC also acts as a talent incubator
(identification/recruitment, development and retention) for UBS.

Your experience and skills

You need to have completed your master’s degree at a University or a University of Applied Sciences, preferably in Banking & Finance, Business Administration or Economics. In particular, you have:

  • An understanding of banking business and financial markets/instruments
  • Sharp analytical and problem solving skills
  • A flexible, open-minded and cooperative personality (you’re a people person)
  • Strong interest in progressing your career in a fast, changing environment
  • The ability to think out of the box and deal with complexity
  • Good communication skills, comfortable interacting with colleagues at all levels
  • Fuent English skills (oral and written)
  • A good command of Microsoft Office

But we’d like to also see evidence that you can:

  • analyze a problem, take a view and come to a decision
  • plan, organize and communicate well
  • make things happen
  • stick with a task
  • work in a team
  • come up with ideas

Perhaps you’ve organized a fundraising event or taken part in team sports? Or persevered and passed an exam in a subject you found challenging? Think about how things you’ve achieved match the skills we’re after.
