Your role

  • Help develop compelling content for internal and external stakeholders
  • Support CA education and client outreach efforts
  • Involvement in various projects such as collaboration with academic institutions, supporting the content preparation for specific events, and supporting CIO colleagues as well as CAs with Impact Investing related questions

UBS WM CIO wants to make sustainable and impact criteria an integral part of the investment process, and thus catalyze material positive and tangible change for people and the environment alike. We believe that UBS WM is the most exciting place to embark on this undertaking, the client asset pool that one can impact is huge (over two trillion USD) and the desire and will is strong (we’ve publically committed to direct USD 5bn towards impact investing in support of the UN Sustainable Development Goals). Internship
Our 3-6 month internship is an ideal way to gain the work experience you’ll need to launch your career. It’s also an opportunity to work with and learn from some of our sharp people in finance.

From the start of the program, you’ll be right at the heart of the business, taking part in the day-to-day operations. You’ll not only learn about the business of finance from top to bottom, you’ll also experience our unique workplace culture.

Your team

The CIO WM Global Investment Office is responsible for the House View and investment strategy for UBS Wealth Management clients. You will be working in the CIO UHNW, Alternatives, Sustainable and Impact Investing team, based mainly in Zurich, a diverse team of experts and specialists that collaborate with all functions across UBS.

Your experience and skills

You need have completed at least four semesters of your bachelor’s degree and have not yet completed your master’s degree.

In particular, you have:

  • enthusiasm for, and experience in impact and/or sustainable/responsible investing
  • some knowledge and experience of investment and financial markets; an understanding of impact investment products is an advantage though not essential
  • fluent English; German/French is an advantage.

You are:

  • a strong written and verbal communicator
  • a critical thinker
  • able to collaborate with internal and external partners
  • someone who is adaptable, positive and fun to work with!

But we’d like to also see evidence that you can:

  • analyze a problem, take a view and come to a decision
  • plan, organize and communicate well
  • make things happen
  • stick with a task
  • work in a team
  • come up with ideas

Perhaps you’ve organized a fundraising event or taken part in team sports? Or persevered and passed an exam in a subject you found challenging? Think about how things you’ve achieved match the skills we’re after.
