Your Role

As a member of the ZGEBS Actuarial Team, you will be involved in a range of actuarial topics relating to the management of a life reinsurance portfolio.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of actuarial work, interact closely with other functions and add value to the business.

As the Senior Life Actuary your main responsibilities will involve:

  • Valuation & reserving for life reinsurance
  • Review actuarial assumptions
  • Reinsurance treaty review
  • Delivery & implementation of IFRS17 topics
  • Planning and performance monitoring

Your Skills and Experience

As the Senior Life Actuary your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

  • Fully or partially qualified actuary (e.g. SAV, DAV, SOA, FIA)
  • Strong analytic/numerate background
  • 5+ years’ experience gained in life insurance or reinsurance
  • Experience with pricing and/or valuation of life and disability protection products
  • Good understanding of key financial reporting standards (IFRS, Swiss local stat., MCEV, risk analysis)
  • Enthusiasm for working in a dynamic international environment
  • Good communication skills in both English and German
  • Good knowledge of Excel, VBA and Access
