Our sales internship provides you with a kickstart into a successful career as a sales professional, consultant or entrepreneur. It’s 6 months of intense learning at one of the fastest growing startups in Switzerland. Being part of Avrios means a steep learning curve. As one of the fastest growing Saas startups in Switzerland, we’ve been around long enough to provide you with a structured training program and can teach you tons of best practices. Working at a 3-year-old startup however also means loads of responsibility, freedom to experiment and make mistakes and it means getting involved with things that "aren’t in your job description". After your internship, there might be the opportunity for you to continue your sales career in a full-time position or join one of the other teams that you got to know while working at Avrios.

Responsibilities

People that have excelled as a Business Development Representative at Avrios are hungry, perseverant and focused native German speakers who are not afraid to pick up the phone to engage with new customers and grow our business. They are curious, empathetic, entrepreneurial and challenge themselves on a daily basis.

Responsibilities

  • Qualify leads and build opportunities before handing them over to your Account Executive. Engage with potential customers through email, social media and of course phone calls (often 60+ a day)
  • Discuss with different stakeholders how Avrios can add value to their business
  • Work alongside the Account Executives to build relationships, schedule demos and make sure the deal gets closed
  • Maintain accurate information on prospects and interaction activities through our CRM platform
  • Interact with the marketing team to increase the awareness of Avrios and to both evolve and improve the lead qualification process
  • Prioritise your own tasks with a laser focus attitude and use your entrepreneurial skills to become a driving force within new markets

A day in the life of a BDR:

Start the day with a coffee and sales stand-up meeting, discussing daily and weekly goals with the team. It’s always good to verbalise the plan for the day. First prospecting call of the day is imminent, time to understand the potential customer’s needs and discuss how our platform can help solve their current pain points. They are a good fit for Avrios and they want to have a look at the platform (awesome!). You schedule an appointment and you hand them over to your Account Executive. The phone rings it’s Mr X who checked out our website. He would like to learn more about our pricing. The day continues with several prospecting calls and follow-ups from yesterday. There are still a few email responses from prospects dripping into your inbox, so you work through these as you go. Towards the evening, it makes no sense to call anymore, so you prepare for tomorrow. You decide to catch up on the latest release notes from the development team and read up on some interesting blogs to improve your sales and industry knowledge.
