The Group Head of Talent acquisition is responsible for the quality of talent across the whole business, by finding the right people for the right roles. He/she is passionate about our brand, attracting and engaging the best talent for our growing business. We are looking for a process driven person, adept at using data to refine and perfect the work the team is doing. He/she is responsible for developing, owning and driving the staffing strategy across businesses and functions globally in order to create a world-class, commercially based, human resources functional capability.

Your Role

As a Group Head of Talent Acquisition your main responsibilities will involve:

  • Working closely with the business throughout the search process, providing consistent communication and outstanding client service
  • Building proactive relationships with passive candidates to engage them over a longer term basis
  • Innovating to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our systems and processes
  • Partner with senior leaders on high-profile leadership hires, advising on search strategy and ideal candidate profile
  • Engaging and assessing executive level candidates, leveraging strategic thinking and influencing skills to bring talent into Zurich
  • Managing all aspects of the staffing strategy in support of delivering innovative solutions that enable the Group growth and competitiveness
  • Strengthening the employer brand and developing, redefining or adapting employee branding and graduate recruitment strategies and tools as well as on-boarding processes which encourage suitable candidates to recognize the organization as the company of choice
  • Delivering a recommendation and strategy as well as operational plan for driving recruitment within the Group by analysing the needs of the organization
  • Being a leader within the Human Resources organization intimately involved in the creation of processes, Key Performance Indicator formulation and the definition of true value add in a senior human resources and resourcing context
  • Conducting analysis to understand how to evolve recruitment and selection strategies in emerging markets as well as accessing diverse pools of external talent
  • Providing the Leadership Team/Board with key information relating to Talent Acquisition, and associated analysis, making recommendations in connection with the findings
  • Influencing or negotiating with a broad range of internal clients, specifically executives and/or senior management

Your Skills and Experience

As a Group Head of Talent Acquisition your skills and qualifications will include:

  • Master degree in HR or related field
  • 12-15 years’ experience in HR
  • Experience in creating a global wide talent acquisition strategy
  • Experience in Talent Development and Talent management activities and concepts for executive hires
  • Being used to keeping the big picture in mind and developing the policies, processes and other infrastructure that will efficiently and reliably achieve the results the business cares about
  • Ability to articulate tangible outcomes
  • Being used to combining the data trends, the knowledge of the business, the knowledge of the People Operations systems and capabilities to anticipate issues and develop appropriate strategies to maximise opportunities and mitigate risk
  • Bringing a strong domain expertise in executive search or executive talent acquisition
  • Strong understanding of the specific business challenges we are facing as a company
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
