Your role

Are you passionate about the financial markets? Are you an innovator who loves to solve problems? We’re looking for someone like that to:

  • Support identification, assessment and remediation of operational risks (financial, reputational, regulatory, legal risks etc.), both on basis of regular controls and ad hoc checks
  • Contribute to the monitoring of performance and (market) risk of the investment solutions offered in the global product shelf and the presentation of the findings, including proposed remediation in the monthly risk committee.
  • Interaction with teams within Global Mandates Investment Solutions and various departments covering risk and risk related topics (Legal, Compliance, Audit, etc.)
  • Support consolidation and assessment of the risks identified and reported by the various international locations of Global Mandates Investment Solutions to form a global view on operational risks and produce the related reports to Management

Your team

You’ll be working in the GMIS team in Opfikon.
Global Mandates Investment Solutions (GMIS) delivers performance-focused investment mandates that are the unique combination of our global expertise, excellence in instrument selection and portfolio management skills. This allows to offer substance, active management, service and expertise for the benefit of our clients. Furthermore, GMIS is responsible for the fund shelf underneath the UBS Manage/UBS Advice offerings and provides services for Execution, Sales Trading & Global Platform Capabilities.

Your expertise

You need have completed at least four semesters of your bachelor’s degree (Economics: Banking / Finance / Law) and have not yet completed your master’s degree.

In particular, you have:

  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
  • Proactive team player and ambitioned to learn on the job
  • Familiarity in working in small interdisciplinary teams
  • Autonomous and exact way of working
  • Open, flexible and extroverted personality
  • a good command of Microsoft Office
  • excellent German and English (written and oral)

But we’d like to also see evidence that you can:

  • analyze a problem, take a view and come to a decision
  • plan, organize and communicate well
  • make things happen
  • stick with a task
  • work in a team
  • come up with ideas
