Your role

Are you a team player who enjoys working in an international environment? Are you interested in financial markets, risk models and products? We’re looking for someone like that to:

  • Support in production of monthly Credit Stress Testing and Statistical model results, including analysis and delivery of risk reports for UBS Group and its legal entities
  • Provide ad-hoc risk analysis and data to senior managers and regulators
  • Liase with IT and Operational teams who monitor the portfolio data arrival and loading processes

Your team

The Credit Risk Analysis & Reporting team is looking for an intern for a time period of 6 months. The Risk department is responsible for independently identifying, measuring, controlling, reporting and analyzing the credit and issuer risks that the Bank incurs. Default risks from all credit portfolios are aggregated across the bank and measured against the limits defined in the risk appetite framework of the bank.

In this position you will gain a deep understanding of Credit Risk Stress models as well as their sensitivities and dependencies.

Your expertise

You need have completed at least four semesters of your bachelor’s degree or have obtained your master’s degree within the last 6 months.

In particular, you have:

  • Knowledge of or interest in financial markets, risks models and products
  • Good analytical skills with a fast understanding of complex processes
  • Proficient in MS EXCEL, coding skills in R or other language are a plus
  • Fluent command of English (spoken and written)

But we’d like to also see evidence that you can:

  • analyze a problem, take a view and come to a decision
  • plan, organize and communicate well
  • make things happen
  • stick with a task
  • work in a team
  • come up with ideas

Perhaps you’ve organized a fundraising event or taken part in team sports? Or persevered and passed an exam in a subject you found challenging? Think about how things you’ve achieved match the skills we’re after.
