Your role

Are you comfortable with working against delivery deadlines? Can you get your priorities right without compromising on quality? Do you enjoy interaction with internal clients? We are looking for someone like that to:

• Participation in the Rollout of our next Generation Market Risk Systems
• Co-run our daily operational business, by timely creating of various Risk Reports for our internal clients
• Help create a robust operational framework to meet the highest of standards in our day by day business
• Provide feedback to IT analysts and developers. Your insights will be reflected in future system upgrades
• Assist in data analysis and visualize numbers and figures for decision makers in our organization
• Support investigations in case of inconsistencies or errors

Your team

You’ll be working in the team IPS Platform Development & Management within UBS WM Investment Platforms and Solutions (IPS) which is responsible for the platforms and processes underpinning the value proposition of our discretionary and advisory mandate solutions. As a business solution owner of the investment platforms, we take care of the continuous evolution of our capabilities to the benefits of our clients globally. The Risk Engine team within IPS Platform Development & Management is dedicated to running the quantitative Market Risk Systems for IPS. Our unique expertise is highly sought for in Change the Bank Processes and a key component throughout the Wealth Management Value chain- from Client profiling to Investment suitability- on a truly global scale.

Your expertise

You need have completed at least four semesters of your bachelor’s degree or have obtained your master’s degree within the last 6 months.

In particular, you are:

• an undergraduate / graduate seeking an opportunity to gain working experience in the financial industry
• capable of executing assigned tasks in the required quality and delivering reports on agreed dates
• keen to familiarize with data analysis and have an interest to obtain/solidify query language knowledge (e.g. MS Access, SQL, R, VBA).
• a highly motivated individual with a curious mind, capable of coming up with new ideas and concepts to improve existing solutions
• excited about quantitative risk systems and the way they work
• fluent in English, German and other languages are a plus
