Our service department in Switzerland currently has an opening for a junior Service Technician, the focus being on maintaining and servicing various ABB control systems deployed by our customers in order to improve operational life cycles. Tasks:
- Take part in service assignments for national and international customers, based on contractual agreements or as required
- Install and configure customized control systems at ABB test facilities and handle on-site commissioning, covering everything from control systems to operations centers (HIS)
- Perform technical tasks relating to customer projects, while ensuring compliance with technical requirements
- Assist Project Engineering when it comes to promoting service products, providing targeted training, and driving ongoing development
- Travel on assignments (50-70%), primarily in Switzerland (driving license class B required for CH)
Requirements:
- Solid vocational qualifications in Electrical/Automation Engineering (or equivalent)
- Initial work experience in this field preferable
- Keen interest in acquiring new skills and knowledge
- Self-starter with an approachable and professional attitude
- Fluent command of German and English, both written and spoken, ideally together with French language skills
