Your role

Are you a people person? Do you like to constantly learn new things?

We’re looking for someone like that to:

  • Help us generate sales driven investment ideas, differentiated content and other market commentary
  • Plan and coordinate the IB marketing calendar, including company (CEO/CFO) and analyst presentations to institutional investors
  • Support in the distribution of IB equity and macro research and help develop strategies to effectively monetize our resources
  • Fulfill client requests in the field of equity research and marketing calendar
  • Work on Capital Markets, IPO and Deal Transactions of the Investment Bank into Switzerland
  • Trouble shooting (helping out with other desks, special tasks or projects, etc.)

Our 3-6 month internship is an ideal way to gain the work experience you’ll need to launch your career. It’s also an opportunity to work with and learn from some of our sharp people in finance.

From the start of the program, you’ll be right at the heart of the business, taking part in the day-to-day operations. You’ll not only learn about the business of finance from top to bottom, you’ll also experience our unique workplace culture.

Your team

You’ll be working in the Cash Equities Sales & Trading team in Opfikon, one of the core activities of UBS Investment Bank. As part of our internship programme, you will be trained on-the-job and exposed to other desks to complement your equity & derivatives knowledge.

Your expertise

You need to be an enrolled student at the University of St.Gallen and need to have completed at least four semesters of your bachelor’s degree.

In particular you have:

  • a very strong interest in Equity Markets
  • the ability to cope with pressure and to digest new information quickly
  • sharp analytical and problem solving skills
  • a team-oriented and flexible personality
  • excellent communication skills both in German and English
  • strong Microsoft Office skills, other IT skills are appreciated
    And we’d like to also see evidence that you can:

  • analyse a problem, take a view and come to a decision
  • plan, organize and communicate well
  • make things happen
