In Scientific Content Services we ensure access to published scientific content (eJournals, eBooks and databases) for Roche employees worldwide. We manage the scientific content portfolio and enable seamless access to key resources.
During your internship you will join a team of 5 colleagues to support us primarily in the areas of end-user training and customer communication.
Your main accountabilities will be:
- Learn about the organization and promotion of training events for scientific content resources
- Maintain and further develop our online Training Information Portal for Roche employees worldwide
- Support the team in their daily tasks and various projects on demand
- Collaborate with Roche sites and Affiliates worldwide

Who you are
You are an enrolled student in the advanced phase of your Bachelor or Master degree, preferably in Library Science, Information Science or in a related field. Working in a multi-cultural enterprise environment motivates you and you are eager to share your knowledge and bring in new ideas.
What do you need in your toolbox?
- Willingness to share your ideas and introduce a different view on established processes
- Ability to bring your energy into flexible planning and working well under time pressure
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English and German oral and written
- Ability to prioritize and organize a high volume and varied tasks while ensuring a high level of attention to detail
- Good IT skills ( Google Suite, Microsoft Sharepoint, Microsoft Office)
- Good knowledge of most relevant biomedical and chemical literature databases, like Scifinder, Embase, etc.
The preferred start date of the internship is July 2019 or upon availability for 12 months. Please clearly indicate your preferred starting date and duration of the internship on your motivation letter. Applications need to include a CV and a motivation letter both merged in one document.
