Postdoctoral Scientist in Clinical Image and Video Analysis

Currently, we are looking for postdoctoral scientist talent with expertise in analysis and processing of (bio-)medical images/videos. Join us in creating the future of research for patients with information technology solutions at the forefront of innovation!

As postdoc within our team you will hold the following main responsibilities:

  • You will be a key contributor to our strategic initiative on extracting information from images and videos to address key scientific questions around personalized prevention and personalized intervention
  • You will contribute to the advancement of our state-of-the-art image and video analysis algorithms and platforms by driving and contributing to local and global programmes
  • You will establish and nurture effective partnerships with a wide range of scientists, clinicians and internal IT specialists to develop novel algorithms and rigorously assess their performance and robustness using our rich data pool
  • You will present at topical conferences and publish in relevant scientific journals

We are looking for a self-driven scientist with a recent PhD graduation in computer vision, (bio-) medical image analysis or machine learning or similar. You’re looking for a company where you have the opportunity to pursue your interests across functions and geographies. The ideal candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:

  • You have in-depth experience with image/video analysis. Ideally you have an understanding of the processing steps involved such as object-tracking, spatial/temporal segmentation, feature extraction, and codecs/compression
  • You have good experience in the application of deep learning frameworks such as Tensorflow, Keras or Pytorch as well as traditional machine-learning methodologies
  • You have strong programming skills in Python, R, Java and/or C++ and experience in developing well-structured and documented code using open source and commercial software solutions in Linux/UNIX environments
  • Experience with endoscopic vision would be an advantage
  • Your profile is rounded off by having very good presentation and communication skills in English and the ability to provide high quality reporting of achieved results in the form of presentations and scientific publications
