Your role

Are you able to model and visualise data to spot patterns in financial data? Would you like to understand smart beta to pure beta difference? Do you have an interest in data-driven solutions for financial products and want to be a part of a growing passive business within a well-established asset manager? We’re looking for someone like that to:

  • Development of data-driven tools (like chart library) to ensure that high-quality contents can be delivered timely to ETF investors and clients.
  • Extensions of analytic tools to support delivery of unique metrics for specific passive investment vehicles; for example carbon footprint for ESG ETFs.
  • Support distribution teams in bespoke analysis in response to ongoing client requests across asset classes, incl. equity, fixed income, commodity, smart beta and more.
  • Contribution to high-quality client-facing presentations.

Graduate Talent Program
Our Graduate Talent Program (GTP) lasts 18 months. You’ll be directly involved in day-to-day operations, working with professionals and gaining first-hand experience of our business.

As well as on-the-job learning, you’ll get training on the financial markets, our products and other core business topics. Rotational assignments are a key part of the program. By taking on other roles in related departments, you’ll gain a wider perspective.

Besides all that, you’ll attend networking events, cross-business classes and social occasions where you’ll get to know us.

Your team

We are looking for someone ready to join a dynamic team responsible for producing essential, bespoke analytics that supports investment decision making process carried out by passive investors.

The UBS Passive & ETF - Investment Analytics Team delivers thought leadership and market intelligence for passive offerings, providing EMEA and APAC investment specialist sales with high-quality data-driven content (product roadshows, client-pitching, industry events and conferences, ETF research and reports). We also monitor ongoing developments for indexed solutions across all asset classes with the aim to boost UBS passive innovation and further growth of assets.

Your expertise

You need have completed your bachelor’s or master’s degree.

In particular, you have:

  • Basic knowledge of financial markets/products.
  • Desire to learn the ETFs industry.
  • Experience in dealing with data.
  • University degree with quantitative finance focus.
  • User of data statistical tools: R or similar.
  • Tableau or similar would be advantageous.
  • Good MS Office skills

You are:

  • Keen learner and a solution-oriented thinker.
  • Focused and accurate under pressure, able to manage and prioritize your workload effectively.
  • Able to work on multiple, interdisciplinary tasks whilst meeting tight deadlines.
  • Fluent in English, other languages beneficial.
