Statistical Programming Analyst Internship (12 months)

The Position:

The Statistical Programming and Analysis (SPA) Team in Basel is looking for high calibre university students to work as part of a team to deliver data and insights about our medicines and to provide solutions that aid the analysis of clinical trial data for medicines in Roche’s diverse pipeline. This includes the creation of datasets, analyses and visualisations using Statistical Software such as SAS and R.

We are recruiting one year industrial placement students based in Basel.

Full training in systems, software and programming will be provided and you will have frequent access to more senior staff that can provide coaching and oversight on a day-to-day basis.

  • As a Statistical Programmer you will have responsibility for statistical programming support in planning, specifying and developing analyses and visualisations, leveraging statistical software, for the reporting and analysis of clinical trials.
  • You will be part of a functional team where your analyst skills will be valued and you will play a key role in driving projects forward.
  • Whilst SAS is the core of our skillset, we embrace other technologies and languages, such as R and Spotfire, and we encourage our team members to enhance their skills and develop their potential.

Who you are:

Applicants should be enrolled at University and in a university education in Biomedical Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics or other relevant subjects. Applicants should be interested in data science and drug development. Some experience or knowledge of data handling and analysis techniques including programming languages (e.g. R or SAS) would be a benefit but is not vital. Good communication skills (English) and enthusiasm are essential.
