Explorer Trainee Program for Engineering Graduates 80-100%

Then our Graduate Trainee Program “Explorer” could be the right fit for you. Our trainee program is a unique entry opportunity to begin your career with ABB.

Tasks:

  • Experience the operations of an international company first hand during three different six months assignments over the course of 18 months, one of them abroad
  • Explore your interests through challenging and impactful assignments where you are fully integrated into the team
  • Profit from individually targeted possibilities for training and development, professional mentoring, exposure to executives, and support from the Trainee Program team
  • Actively contribute to diverse social events and team activities and use the chance to establish a broad network within ABB
  • Develop your strengths with the help of regular feedback on your performance and clearly established performance objectives
  • Typical assignments include sales, project management, operations, lean manufacturing, supply chain, service, and many more

Requirements:

  • Graduates (Bachelor and/or Master) from university or applied science university in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, machine technology, industrial engineering, or a related discipline
  • Experience in business/economics related courses is a plus
  • Completed university studies before the start date 1 October 2019
  • Less than two years of professional work experience by the start date 1 October 2019
  • Excellent knowledge of English; fluency or proficiency in other languages is a plus, especially German, Italian and French
  • Authorization to work in Switzerland is strongly preferred (B permit)

Start date of the program is October 1, 2019. The position will be open for applications until May 5, 2019. All applicants will receive a notice informing them about their application status latest by mid-May 2019. Video interviews will be done beginning of May 2019 and you will be informed latest end of May if you are invited to the assessment center. The Assessment Center will be held on June 6, 2019. The in-person one-day assessment center is required in order to be selected, so please tentatively hold the date. Final decisions will be made directly after the assessment center.
