YOUR FUTURE JOB
As an Applications Engineer at Melexis, you will build strong technical expertise on the Inductive Sensors product line by evaluation and characterization in order to ensure the relevant technical support to our customers and participate to the business development. Your tasks will include the development of hardware applications as well Inductive Transducer design with all the necessary documentation and supporting tools for advanced automotive and Industrial applications. More specifically, you will:

• Support the full path from the first demo to production at our customers, together with the Melexis Sales team, IC design teams and field application engineers
• Develop & support Inductive Transducer designs for customer applications
• Generate clear documentation supporting customers in the use of our products
• Provide technical training to customers to facilitate the design activities of the customer through all stages of the design cycle
• Develop hardware and embedded software for e.g. development kits and demos that demonstrate product strengths and use in multiple applications
• Define and execute the evaluation of Melexis sensors and communicate results to internal and external customers
• Analyse competitor products and share acquired know-how with your colleagues
• Support the Quality department in analysing the quality problem in the application

YOUR PROFILE
• Master of Science in Electrical Electronics or Electrical Engineering
• Experience with designing demo or evaluation kits for Semiconductor devices
• Experience with system characterization of Semiconductor devices
• Experience in the automotive electronics design industry.
• Experience or interest in designing Inductive transducers with Finite element analysis simulation tools (Comsol)
• Proven communication skills in English to ensure successful customer support worldwide
• Ability to communicate difficult technical issues in a simple and clear way
• Ready for business travel up to 25%
