Your role

As our Operations Manager, you’ll be responsible for Finance & Controlling, HR & Payroll, Fundraising and more. You work closely with the VP Finance and other members of management on the basis of every good business - financials! There is ample of room to experiment independently, discuss ideas and set priorities with the team. You will learn by doing, a lot and quick

Your daily activities will include

Finance & Controlling

  • AR/AP, payroll and general ledger accounting (daily business)
  • Own the cash collection cycle, incl. billing, dunning and direct customer communication

  • Process payments to suppliers, employees and other third parties
  • Prepare our financial statements and derive insights from them
  • Establish monthly financial reporting & SaaS controlling dashboards
  • Optimise processes and set up automatization of repetitive tasks in our accounting software FinancialForce, while guaranteeing reliability

HR & Payroll

  • Manage the onboarding of our new hires and make sure they are welcomed appropriately
  • Manage the payroll coordination in cooperation with our external accountant
  • First contact point for employees with regards to HR operations incl. maintenance of our HR tool & liaison with social security agency and tax authority for salary related requests

Fundraising & Other

  • Support funding rounds with market & investor research, preparing documentation and due diligence
  • Assist management with budgeting, forecasting & legal requirements

You’re offering these qualifications

  • You have graduated from Business Administration or a related subject
  • You have at least 1 year of work experience in a finance related job
  • You are tech savvy, quickly adopt to new digital environments and have no dread to further develop our accounting system - knowing FinancialForce (and/or Salesforce) would be a great advantage
  • You have an analytical mindset combined with a strong hands-on attitude
  • You are a superstar in organising - coordinating several stakeholders and managing priorities comes easily to you
  • You desire to truly understand the backbone of every business - financials - and how to prepare them to support strategic decision
  • You are fluent in English. German, would be a big plus
  • You have a Swiss, EU passport, or Schengen citizenship (or another permit that allows you to work in Switzerland)
