Your role
Your role is to take a central part in the portfolio advisory process by improving the analytics capabilities available for the investment advisors. This means:
- Together with investment advisors and other product specialists analyze the gaps in current analytics capabilities and come up with innovative solutions on how to fill them.
- Support and implement solutions in small software applications and support the investment advisors in their daily usage of these applications
- Collaborate with risk modeling teams within IPS to check the quality of and validity of models built
- Collaborate with IT departments in order to find out in which system relevant data is located and how it can be retrieved

Your team
IPS Portfolio Advisory (IPS PA) is responsible for the delivery of contract based advisory solutions for UBS Wealth Management globally. The segment ‘Investment Content & Initiatives’ (IC&I) is focusing on delivering superior investment content to our advisory portfolios in an efficient way by leveraging top-edge technology. Join our young and talented team and become part of one of the most innovative projects within IPS.
Your expertise
You need have completed at least four semesters of your bachelor’s degree or have obtained your master’s degree within the last 6 months. Studies preferably in “Computer Science” or “Engineering/Economics”
In particular, you have:
- English (correspondence and verbal fluency in other European languages would be an advantage)
- Strong IT/programming skills required (NET/C#, VBA, SQL, MS Office object model)
- Interest in financial markets and a foundation understanding of products, asset classes and portfolio management
- Team player with an open and flexible personality
- Strong problem solving with well-developed analytical and conceptual thinking
- Proactive, independent self-starter with high motivation
