Senior Associate Scientist (m/f)

In this position you are part of the Device Methods Laboratory (DML) which is responsible for analytical aspects of combination product testing covering projects from clinical development through life-cycle management of commercial products. As a member of an international and multidisciplinary team you are responsible for device-related development programs and to provide technical, scientific and project management expertise as well as to coordinate the development, (co)-validation and transfer of physical test methods for the functional characterization of combination products. In addition, you conduct device-related non-conformance investigations as well as perform handling of clinical and commercial complaints.

Your Responsibilities:

• You serve as analytical expert for the development, (co-)validation and transfer of physical device test methods
• You represent the DML in cross-functional project teams for development, clinical and commercial products
• You provide analytical and technical expertise to solve issues related to investigations, re-design and implementation at partner organizations
• You coordinate and execute device-related complaint handling of combination products
• You design experimental plans based on defined deliverables and coordinate activities to meet overall project timelines
• Your output supports products in early development through late stage development and commercial products in a GMP regulated environment

Qualifications

Your Profile:

For this position we are looking for an experienced, flexible and team oriented person with the following skills:

• You have a strong interest in analytical aspects of combination product development
• You are experienced in project coordination/management
• Previous exposure to analytical development and instrumental analytics with significant emphasis on combination products or packaging materials in the pharmaceutical, medical device, or other GMP regulated industry is preferred
• Good team player with excellent communication skills at all levels
• Independent, efficient and accurate working style
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Good networker with internal and external partners
• Good German and English communication skills
• M.S. with 1-2 years of experience in Life Science, Analytical or Pharmaceutical Sciences
