Senior Associate Scientist (f/m/d) (100% Pensum)

In this position you are responsible for analytical support of parenteral fill&finish lines and drug product R&D organizations for large biological molecules (e.g. antibodies). After a thorough, on-the-job training you will be responsible for conducting analytical assay development and analytical support of fill-finish lines for release or characterization ensuring a high-quality, scientifically profound and timely delivery. You apply your entrepreneurial skills to search for and to implement new business opportunities and you challenge the status quo with strong dedication and customer focus. You will also be responsible for implementation and maintenance of current instruments and novel technologies in a GMP-regulated environment including automation. As part of an international and multidisciplinary team, you will participate in project meetings to provide analytical updates and actively support the planning of activities in close interaction with local management.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, validate and transfer selected analytical assays conduct testing and review analytical data under GMP.
  • Understanding the process and urgency of providing analytical support to local and global customers.
  • Drive innovation and implementation of new analytical technologies for protein aggregation/stability.
  • Write scientifically sound and concise reports in English.
  • Work in a dynamic team-oriented environment and respect diversity and incusion when interacting with colleagues and partners.
  • You support the implementation of new process analytical technologies (PAT) in close collaboration with other functions (such as engineering and process development)
  • Demonstrate a “right first time” culture and be open for new, innovative approaches

Qualifications
For this position we are looking for an experienced, flexible and team-oriented person with excellent communication and negotiation skills as well as the following hard skills:

  • M.S. or PhD in life or bioengineering sciences, analytical or pharmaceutical sciences.
  • Experienced in analytical development or engineering science with significant emphasis on protein-based assays in a pharmaceutical or other GMP regulated industry.
  • Self-starter and problem solver with determination to achieve common goals and questioning the status quo.
  • A real team player with scientific curiosity and willingness to “go the extra mile”
  • Demonstrated ability to influence at all levels, to positively impact productivity and business results.
  • Proven track record in automation and data management (database) would be a plus
