Senior Manager / Associate Director Market Access Pulmonary Hypertension

Key Responsibilities:

  • Closely collaborate with the Compound Market Access Lead (CMAL) to develop and implement product market access strategies and evidence package for new products / indications
  • Collaborate and lead with Global Medical Affairs team, Epidemiology and the Market Access Hub on evidence generation including economic models, evidence synthesis, real-world evidence (RWE), utility and patient-preference studies
  • Be part of cross-functional teams to advise on optimal clinical trial design and endpoint selection from the payers’ perspective.
  • Assess literature and existing COAs, conduct gap analyses, and develop and implement plans to address COA needs. Identify and recommend appropriate COA measures and lead activities to validate available COAs.
  • Strategize on COA development/modification, selection, and implementation in clinical trials with an understanding of the clinical development program.
  • Develop, communicate and train regions and local teams in value arguments based on an aligned value story.
  • Preparation and participation in pricing and reimbursement negotiations as well as support of all departments with respect to price and reimbursement topics.
  • Efficiently plan and manage product and project level budgets.
  • Adhere to team processes, ensure that all work is conducted in accordance with appropriate local and global SOPs.

Qualifications

Education

  • A minimum of a Master’s degree in appropriate field (Economics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Health Economics, or Public Health)

Experience

  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant industry work experience in Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) or Market Access
  • Demonstrated hands-on expertise in pricing, HEOR, RWE and/or patient-centered research. Interest to drive research and evidence generation outside your core-field of expertise
  • A thorough understanding of pharmaceutical commercialization and drug development process. Deep and nuanced understanding of the major price & reimbursement system and insight into the HTA and price & reimbursement landscape, processes, requirements and interactions.
  • Hands-on experience in reimbursement submission and pricing negotiation
  • Ability to work across functions and geographies and work constructively with diverse groups.
  • Analytical skills and ability to propose creative and pragmatic solutions for very complex problems.
  • Excellent networking, listening, presentation, negotiation and scientific writing skills.

  • Flexible attitude to be able to handle a complex, multiple stakeholder environment
  • This position is based in Allschwil, Switzerland but other locations will be considered; ability to travel globally and domestically 10-20%

Preferred

  • Experience in developing and submitting reimbursement & pricing dossiers to key government and private HTA and payer authorities.
  • Strong statistical background

Preferred location for this role is Allschwil in Switzerland. Other EU locations might be considered.
