Your role
Are you solid as a rock when you’re juggling a lot of projects? Do you have strong analytical skills?
We’re looking for someone like that to:
- contribute to our economic analyses and recommendations
- analyze and collect financial and macroeconomic data, create charts and excel-based forecasting tool/models and databases, and share and discuss findings with colleagues
- work on ad hoc projects like developing models to forecast GDP growth, inflation, and ECB rate decisions, creating a quantitative investment model, or testing a global economic model to run simulations and model economic shocks
- participate on various conference calls and experience how economic developments feed into asset allocation discussions
- help us run our monthly investment process for the EMEA region and produce the related publications

Your team
You’ll be working in the European macro team team in Zürich. The European macro team is based in Zurich, London, Madrid, and Milan. You’ll be working directly with the CIO Head of Eurozone and UK economics who is based in London, but will also work closely with other economists in the group. The position will give exposure to all kind of issues related to European economics, politics, markets, etc. Your entry training will allow you to maximize your experience as well as to build a network in the Chief Investment Office.
Your expertise
You need have completed at least four semesters of your bachelor’s degree or have obtained your master’s degree within the last 6 months.
In particular, you have:
- experience with high-level programming language, statistical software, and financial data providers is a plus
- have a keen interest in financial markets, politics, and economic issues
- very good analytical and writing skills as well as quantitative and data mining skills
- initiative, attention to detail, reliability, team-player, and self-starter
- fluency in English required (writing and speech), German or other languages as a plus
