Your responsibilities
Leading +30 Lead- and Solution Architects across entire organization (indirect reports)
Responsibility for maintaining horizontal view of technology for the area of expertise across all businesses and domains to assure the realization of benefits from technology simplification, standardization and modernization
Developing policies, standards, guidelines in the technology area of responsibility
Definition of technology strategy in concert with Corporate IS Enterprise Architecture to ensure alignment with the organization’s goals and objectives
Approving, reviewing and defining the technical blueprints, reference architectures and standards
Coordination and facilitating the work of IS technology architects, Domain and Solution architects to ensure integrity of enterprise architecture across the whole organization
Accountability for the shape of technology landscape in area of responsibility across entire ABB, ensuring technology fit through sanity checks
Guiding and leading Business, Domain and Solution architect in complex projects to ensure fit to the overall ABB technology landscape in the area of responsibility
Your background
Higher degree in Computer Science or Informatics for Business Engineering (University, University of Applied Sciences, Advanced Technical College) or equivalent, combined with at least 15 years of experience with IT Infrastructure, Applications and Security processes and solutions
Expert knowledge and experience in designing solutions, creating reference architectures and blueprints in at least one ofthe areas specified below:
- 8+ years of experience in coordinating, guiding and facilitating the work of groups of highly skilled professionals; leadership experience
- Experience in global project planning and execution as well as economic aspects of system management and life cycle
- Ability to exercise authority and make decisions regarding the technology in scope of area of responsibility as well as experience in objectively evaluating solutions and making recommendations
- Ability to analyze business requirements to develop technical solution and their framework
- Excellent communication skills on different levels within the organization
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with 3rd party suppliers
- Experience working within TOGAF or other architectural frameworks would be an advantage
- Cultural awareness and the ability to work in a complex, multicultural and international environment
