The Roche Innovation Center Zurich (Roche Glycart AG) is active in the research and development of engineered therapeutic antibodies, with a focus on the fields of cancer immunotherapy and immunotherapy in general. Part of the Roche Group since 2005, it employs about 160 people.

We are looking for a post-doctoral scientist with interest in immunology/tumor immunology and a strong experience in imaging approaches to join our Pre-clinical Imaging and Analytics team. The Pre-clinical Imaging and Analytics team is part of the Oncology Discovery Pharmacology Department of the Roche Innovation Center Zürich, a leading company in the development of cancer immuno-therapeutics.

As a postdoc, you will be working together with other postdocs, research scientists and associates, supporting the development of 3D in vitro platform and the characterization of drug candidates.

In this position, you will

  • Be responsible for establishing, performing and analyzing imaging experiment to support portfolio projects. Experience in developing imaging approaches in 3D culture and other organ on a CHIP approaches to allow analysis of tissue samples using confocal imaging
  • Apply the in vitro/in vivo established platforms (from tissue/cell preparation to data analysis) to evaluate drug candidate as per requests. Ability to perform hands on experiments is essential for this position.
  • A strong skill-set in confocal microscopy/live cell imaging is preferred.

  • PhD on a relevant topic.

  • A high degree of self-motivation, flexibility and capacity to independently setup and conduct experiments and develop new assays.
  • Skills required to perform image data analysis (IMARIS, FiJi)
  • Interest in working in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment.
  • Interest in workstream automation.
  • English is required.
