Project Goal:

The organization is currently undergo transformation, moving from manufacturing engineering to Life cycle management. The focus of the team is to align the business operations with the productions going on in manufacturing sites, which are recently conveyed to Jabil (an American manufacturing services company). Technical Knowledge Management is a key to success during this transformation. The goal is to establish and improve the existing knowledge base, to include end to end view from clinical procedure to manufacturing, with a strategic and systematic approach for a strong matrix organisation. The role is expected to work closely together with Product Focus Teams for TECA and Spine and other functions such as Quality, Finance etc. The role will support the consolidation of LCM knowledge and then assess how the knowledge is distributed and flows into the organization’s various functions such as Subject Matter Experts and management level.

The development of the Knowledge Management system will be following an iterative engineering and project management approach, starting from literature research on Knowledge management, identify stakeholders to collect requirements, develop specifications, built prototype, test and learn and further improvement to the system. The system will be capturing and sharing important knowledge covering engineering and business processes, and to be used by global teams.

Duration: This thesis is offered as an MSc thesis (6 months), Starting ASAP

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Student with a scientific background and currently in a business, management or IT Master degree course
  • English is required - German a strong asset
  • Is interested in career path of engineering project management or supply chain
  • Good IT skills, Microsoft Office is a must (knowledge of SharePoint is a plus)
