Your role
Are you interested in new technologies in banking? Would you like to assist in developing cutting edge solutions?
We’re looking for someone to:
- Work with us on engineering problems around Big Data platforms (ingesting, manipulating and performing computations on large data sets)
- Assist with an on-prem to Azure cloud migration
- Interact with Data Scientists to understand, review, optimize their PySpark based models executed on our platform

Your team
You’ll be working on the Intraday Liquidity Management (ILM) project within the wider Group Treasury Technology team in Zurich. We assist our Group Treasury business colleagues by developing cutting edge solutions that cover areas including Liquidity and Funding analysis (historical and real-time); Balance Sheet stress / scenario testing and regulatory reporting obligations. The ILM project is centered around providing tools and analytics capabilities for UBS Group Treasury to analyse, set, monitor and report the bank’s intraday liquidity positions. This is then used to drive decision-making and cost optimisations.
Your expertise
You need have completed at least four semesters of your bachelor’s degree or have obtained your master’s degree within the last 6 months.
In particular, you have:
- good communication skills, comfortable interacting with colleagues in a team
- a bachelor’s or master’s degree which majored in a technology related subject
- good practical knowledge of a prime computer language such as Java, Scala, Python
- familiarity with tools and processes such as GitLab, JIRA, Scrum
- an inquisitive mindset coupled with good analytical and problem solving skills
- ideally some experience with one of the major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP)
- the ability to work independently and stay on track, even when dealing with tight deadlines
- a good command of Microsoft Office and are a fast learner when it comes to new IT products
- excellent English (written and oral)
