Internship in UX, Virtual Reality
You will work in the field of UX design for real life applications in the healthcare industry. We are using VR as a tool to support our design process. Part of your job will be building VR environments for use context visualizations, workflow design and usability tests in early project phases. To broaden your experience, you will also have the opportunity to support all kinds of “conventional” activities in the UX design process.
Kew responsibilities
- Create and update VR environments in Unity 3D to support UX design activities
- Support UX design activities in medical device development projects in user research visualization, workflow design and usability evaluation
- Aggregate research data and support desk research
- Perform and automate data maintenance
- Contribute to the department Wiki (confluence)
Who you are:
- You are currently enrolled as a student or have recently graduated (within the last 12 months) in Psychology, Computer Science, Human Computer Interaction, or a similar field
- You are experienced in Unity 3D and you have an interest in gamification, serious games or workflow simulations
- You have basic knowledge of and big interest in UX design, having done some practical work in at least of the following fields: user research, interaction design, visual design, usability testing, industrial design
- Experience with a 3D modelling software (Blender, Rhino, Sketchup or similar tools), UV mapping or animation is an advantage
- You are fluent in English
Start date: May - June 2021
Workload: 80 - 100%
Duration: 6 months (can be 12 months)
