Our Career Start Program offers an ideal platform for graduates who want to experience life at the heart of the financial services industry. You start your main assignment in your business area and rotate to another department for 4-6 months so you can experience different positions, gain insight into a broad spectrum of roles, build new skills and develop crucial networks across the bank. The program offers a combination of practical experience, shadowing days, structured on- and off-the-job training, stimulating challenges and evaluation activities. Start date: 1st of November or upon agreement.
Duration: 18 months
Academic requirements: Recently completed bachelor’s, master’s or PhD degree from a university or university of applied sciences

Your field of responsibility
You will join a team of highly motivated specialists in the dynamic Global Trading Solutions (GTS) Platform Management team and you will have the unique opportunity to collaborate closely with Trading/Sales, CRO, Finance, Quantitative Analytics, General Counsel, Operations, IT teams and in-flight regulatory and business-driven revenue-enabling initiatives. In this role you will contribute in defining and executing the GTS business strategy by defining business architecture, specifying business requirements, and managing technology developments. You will have the opportunity to work within agile software development framework, own IT teams’ book of work, and contribute to business architecture development. You will have the chance to gain knowledge on how to translate business requirements into business design and IT deliverables. You will have the chance to deepen your understanding of market and credit risk management in derivatives and secured lending space as well as learn about client/counterparty portfolio risk management and RWA/capital calculations. You will work in the inclusive role as Subject Matter Expert on risk management topics including (but not limited to) Counterparty Risk Management, Fundamental Review of Trading Book (FRTB), BCBS/IOSCO margin rules, IBOR Replacement, and risk system consolidation.

Your future colleagues
Within GTS business, we are the central link between a wide range of internal business partners and the GTS technology department. Our wider team is the product manager of risk management systems, risk services, and legal document systems serving not only GTS but also wider IB and Wealth Management businesses. GTS Platform Management is a Front Office (FO) function and in this key role, your focus will be on business architecture and risk management topics affecting the GTS division. You will join a visionary team in a collaborative and exciting working environment where you get the opportunity to build your internal network and get a broad understanding of the GTS business and technological landscape. Your qualifications and skills

  • University degree with strong technical background (e.g., Applied Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics), an additional education degree (e.g., PhD, MBA, CFA) is a plus
  • You are highly focused and able to perform in-depth analysis, identify problems and propose meaningful solutions
  • You are willing to go the extra mile, have a structured mindset and a strong sense of ownership in your work
  • You are passionate about financial markets, business transformation, technology and trading
  • Experience with financial products, financial modelling and risk management would be highly beneficial
  • Programming skills would be a definite advantage
  • You are fluent in English. German skills are an asset
