The Global Commercial Insurance Academy is a dedicated, global team based in Zurich, Switzerland. We focus on creating and delivering learning through a variety of modern techniques to our global employees, ultimately to enable, support and inspire our global teams to achieve success. The role provides a great opportunity to collaborate closely with many experts, while being empowered to bring in and present own ideas.

What you will do

As a working student for the Global Commercial Insurance Academy, you help the Program Manager enable their learning programs to run smoothly from start to finish, by managing and overseeing the complete process of organizing multiple training sessions during the year. Your responsibilities may include but not be limited to the following:

• Project management:

  • Creating and using MS teams’ channels and meetings,
  • Tracking responses and progress in our online platform and in MS Forms
  • Posting announcements in MS Teams and sending email reminders
  • Creating and sending reports as needed
  • Issuing digital badges
  • Create and update training materials
  • Help with the design of our learning channels
  • Stakeholder management
  • Responding to queries
  • Exploring creative solutions in an effort of continuous improvement

• Explore the creation of new, innovative experiences for our learning by utilizing new technology, ex. Chat bots, gamification, etc.

What you bring

As a working student in the Global Commercial Insurance Academy, you will ideally be

• a currently matriculated student in a bachelor’s course or equivalent
• previously experienced in a similar organizational/ coordination role
• strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• able to work across different regions and time-zones to achieve both group and individual goals (in particular US and Canada, so afternoon availability preferred)
• capable of fostering positive working relationships with colleagues at all organizational levels
• able to prioritize and balance multiple tasks simultaneously
• able to work effectively within an environment that has quickly changing processes, priorities, and deadlines
• a self-starter with the ability to work independently in a home office setting
• a strong user of standard software such as MS Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat and standard Office tools
• detail oriented, highly organized, an ability to multi-task with strong trouble-shooting and analytical skills
• proactive, customer focused and responsible
• a fluent English speaker (written and spoken), other languages would be of advantage
• Given the current situation, we might offer this job opportunity virtually. Key stakeholders are based in Zurich, Switzerland
• Considering also the current travel restrictions, you must be located in Switzerland or able to travel and base yourself in Switzerland for the duration of the working student contract
• During your employment with us, you need to be enrolled at university or a center of further education.
