The Global Employer Services (GES) team, as part of the Deloitte Tax & Legal department, provides multi-national companies with targeted advice and strategies for running Global Mobility programs in an efficient manner with respect to tax and social security costs and supports clients with the end-to-end management of global compensation for internationally mobile employees. The team also ensures that clients are able to manage their global payroll and taxation requirements whilst paying employees accurately and on time.

As a Senior Consultant on the Global Workforce team, you will support our clients with the end-to-end management and delivery of GCM services. Furthermore you will be part of the monthly delivery of expatriate payroll instructions (actual and shadow) and provide support in relation to delivery by local payroll teams. You will advise clients on compensation collation services on a monthly/quarterly basis and will be responsible for consulting projects in relation to all aspects of global mobility compensation and technology, including process improvements, process mapping, training and delivery.

How you can make an impact

You will provide a high quality service to our multi-national clients in Global Mobility.

  • You will be involved in the end to end global compensation management process from the client’s Global Mobility team to the local payroll teams. This will include being responsible for payroll instruction review prior to Manager sign-off, including statutory withholding calculations, gross up calculations, the funding process and the delivery of payments to assignees and the local authorities - all in line with best practices
  • As a dedicated self-starter you will be proactive and take ownership for consistent and high quality delivery
  • Supporting with review of engagement financials (planning, billing, cash collection, etc.)
  • Communications with our client service delivery teams located in the engagement office, nearshore and offshore
  • Building and developing long term relationships with senior stakeholders, clients and teams

Who we are looking for

  • You have minimum 2-5 years of experience in a Big 4 firm or a large in-house team or a large in-house team providing compensation services to international clients and /or expatriates. Implementation experience is an advantage
  • You like to work in teams and drive projects forward with a client service delivery skill
  • You have excellent attention to detail as well as analytical skills and are a reliable team player

  • Experience/knowledge of working with technology platforms (e.g. Equus AssignmentPro) to manage the delivery of global compensation, understanding of excel macros and VBA coding, is an advantage
  • You communicate confidently in English. Any further languages may be an advantage
