Job description

Help our clients to create value from complex M&A transactions

Boost your impact by starting your career within our market leading M&A Operations and Transformation team that supports clients in successfully creating value from Mergers & Acquisitions, Divestitures & Carve-outs, and from complex Transformations - thus helping them to manage increasing challenges in a global deal and non-deal context.

We work hand-in-hand with our colleagues in Financial Advisory and Consulting, collaborating together across Deal Advisory, Due Diligence, Valuation or Data Analytics. We also closely cooperate with experts from our Consulting, Tax & Legal, Audit and Risk Advisory teams to embed cyber advisory, finance and ERP Transformation, or tax and legal structuring in our projects.

How you can make an impact

  • Help to develop strategic programmes which advise organizations on how to set priorities and drive impact
  • Work with global companies and our over 70 experts on complex M&A transactions and transformations: from operational and synergy due diligence to operating model design and operational value creation planning and execution
  • Look forward to varying tasks which combine senior stakeholder and programme management with analytical tasks, such as building financial value cases for a transaction or transformation and establishing a direct link to operational initiatives
  • Acquire functional and sector knowledge by developing tangible advice for sales & marketing, IT, finance, human resources, real estate, supply chain or legal topics across four main sectors: Life Sciences, Consumer, Industrials Products, Financial Services

What we are looking for

  • You are a congenial, curious, and highly motivated personality who likes challenges and working in a team, thereby using your strong problem-solving skills which help to find root causes and recommend actionable solutions
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in economics, financial sciences, law or a similar discipline
  • First relevant experience either from extra-curricular activities or a business role in a consulting firm, corporate or private equity organisation; and/or technical experience in engineering or project management
  • Fluency both in English AND German and/or French

Your team

You will become part of a diverse, multinational, and highly ambitious team of 70+ colleagues at our Zurich and Geneva offices. We will help you grow both personally and professionally: through our internal/external trainings, mentoring programmes and on-the-job learnings, but also by connecting with colleagues across all business lines.

We have a strong feedback culture across all grades, making sure the steep learning curve is translated into tangible skills and learnings. As a team we connect and have fun, share best-practices, learnings and work on internal initiatives.

The unique diversity of the team enables us to be very agile and we continuously create new capabilities, such as e-commerce or sustainability. The latter is very important to us: We have started to apply a sustainability and ESG lens in all areas of our approach and client interactions because we are convinced that our strong M&A and Transformation capabilities will make a difference in this context.

Our new offices are centrally located in vibrant areas and are the ideal place to connect and collaborate. We love flexible work: some days we work together in our offices, some at our client offices and some days we just work from home. On top of that, you can participate in Deloitte-wide activities and social clubs to broaden your network, whether it’s our company triathlon or bootcamp classes. Also, you can build your own learning path, tailor your curriculum and access various learning resources, including free access to apps such as MyClubs, Udemy, or Headspace.
