Your role

Are you interested in analytics and data management in the financial industry? Then we are looking for someone like that to:

• Implementation of data sourcing programs on our data warehouse in the role as co-developer with a senior developer,
• learning and preparing IT releases within UBS
• participation in data modelling and analysis under the lead of a senior Business analyst,
• document applications and describe data flows,
• learn working from the inside in an agile and international environment.

Your team

You’ll be working in an agile IT team in Basel city. We provide analytical solutions to streams Pay & Manage Liquidity and Global Messaging & Screening, in particular in areas as Payments, Cash Management, Intraday Liquidity, Financial Messaging, Operational Accounting.

Your expertise

You need to be in your second year of master in business informatics and the internship, taking place in the first half of 2023, is a mandatory part of your graduation program.

In particular, you have:

• good communication skills, comfortable interacting with colleagues at all levels
• first experience with and/or basic knowledge of programming and query language SQL (ideally for DB2), data modelling, cloud computing
• a flexible, open-minded and cooperative personality (you’re a people person) with a flair for data & analytics
• an interest in financial markets, numbers, models and products in relation with analytics
• an interest in working in a fast-paced international agile environment as part of a team
• a good command of Microsoft Office and you are a fast learner when it comes to new IT products
• very good command in English required (B2+ spoken and written), German of advantage, French optional
