Your role

Are you interested in risk modeling and scenario-based stress testing? Do you enjoy working within a team of highly skilled experts to develop and deliver solutions? We’re looking for someone like that to:

  • create, develop and maintain models for stress testing purposes
  • bring new quantitative modeling ideas to our team
  • use techniques from quantitative risk management, financial mathematics and econometrics to develop, assess, and change models
  • implement models in R and produce clear documentation for regulators

Your team

You’ll be working in the Firmwide Stress Testing Models team in Zurich. We are a global team located in Switzerland, UK, US, Germany, India and Poland. Our role is to develop and maintain models that are used for internal and regulatory stress testing exercises. Our models cover a broad range of various topics like operational risk, climate risk, balance sheet and liquidity risks or reputational risks. The results of our models are used to assess the impact of macro-economic and market-shock scenarios on the firm’s profitability and capital adequacy. Our deliveries are key to regulators across the globe and used for internal capital assessments. The framework captures all risk types across all businesses world-wide.

Your expertise

You need have completed at least four semesters of your bachelor’s degree or have obtained your master’s degree within the last 6 months.

In particular, you have:

  • background in applied quantitative discipline (e.g. Econometrics, Statistics, Financial Engineering, Computational Science, Quantitative Finance)
  • a gift for using numerical analysis, statistics and financial mathematics to solve practical problems
  • experience with high-level programming language and statistical modeling software know-how (like R, Python, …)
  • good communication skills, comfortable interacting with colleagues at all levels
  • a structured work style, confident working autonomously
  • excellent English skills (written and oral)
