Zurich is currently looking for a new Head of Life Reserving in the Swiss business unit. The role manages the annual production of reserves for Statutory Reporting to FINMA, IFRS 4 reporting to group and other related regulatory and shareholder reporting.
Your Role
As a Head of Life Reserving your main responsibilities will involve:
- Day to day management of the Life Reserving team of about 5-10 FTE

Reporting of reserves and related actuarial metrics for the Zurich Life business of Switzerland for the following metrics:
FINMA Statutory reporting;
IFRS 4 reporting to group; and
Betriebsrechnung, Sollbetrag / Gebundene Vermögen, etc. - Various analysis of the above metrics for all kinds of business purposes
- Reinsurance management of the Zurich Life business in Switzerland
- Focus on automation and and process efficiency
Your Skills and Experience
As a Head of Life Reserving your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
- University degree in mathematics, physics or statistics
- Experience with Life business in Switzerland and FINMA reporting thereof
- Proven Management background
- Sound understanding of life insurance
- Team oriented style of working
- Fluent in German and English
