Your role

UBS Y Think Tank (http://www.ubs-y.com ) is offering an internship as the ideal way to gain the work experience you’ll need to launch your career. It’s also an opportunity to work with and learn from some of the most successful people within the firm.

From the very beginning, you’ll be right at the forefront of the future UBS business. You’ll experience a unique workplace culture in a small and diverse team, outside the regular UBS environment.
We are looking for someone who is able to come up with disruptive new ideas and is ready to step far outside of their personal comfort zone.

Having an affinity or interest in banking and technology is a plus.

You represent the very important client / community view of the future and also bring in a broad knowledge about the following subjects:

  • Future generations and their needs
  • Social interaction
  • Motivation of people and incentives for people
  • Crowd and group dynamics
  • Megatrends

Your team

You’ll be working in the UBS Y Think Tank team in Zurich.
The team is working on envisioning potential business opportunities and spot challenges that UBS might face in the future. UBS Y also acts as consultant or facilitator to help departments to think differently and look at problems from an innovative perspective.

Your experience and skills

You need have completed at least four semesters of your bachelor’s degree at a University or a University of Applied Sciences preferably in Economic and Social Sciences, Psychology, Philosophy, Anthropology or in a related field and have not yet completed your master’s degree.

In particular, you have:

  • familiarity with latest trends of the digital age, digital business models and technologies.
  • personally engaged in social media platforms
  • ability to think out of the box and challenge the status quo
  • team-orientation and able to collaborate with an interdisciplinary group of people
  • ablility to complete tasks independently to a high standard
  • excellent communication skills. Ability to explain topics clearly and intuitively, both written and orally
  • pro-active working approach, ‘can-do’ attitude, ability to work under pressure
  • willingness to go the extra mile to support the team
  • feel comfortable presenting ideas or projects in front of a public
  • research abilities
  • you will be working in an Apple Environment
  • knowhow with Cloud Services like Evernote, Google Drive, Dropbox is a plus
  • experience in mobile technology a plus
  • fluency in English (spoken and written), German is a plus
