Your role

Are you an expert in quantitative modelling or statistics? Are you an innovative thinker who likes to challenge the status quo and to understand the big picture? Are you interested in applying your analytical skills to help our clients meet their investment objectives?
If so, we are looking for someone like you to:

  • contribute to improvements of the model used for the risk management of client portfolios
  • contribute to our model performance monitoring and our model calibration routines
  • prototype your proposals and assess their impact
  • document your results and present them to the different stakeholders

Your team

You will be working in the Investment Process Methodology (IPM) team, the investment risk competence centre within Investment Platforms and Solutions. The team is responsible for different models and methodologies which are crucial success factor across all stages of the WM investment process. Our models are used to calculate the risk for hundred thousand client portfolios every night and support client advisors during portfolio construction and investment advice. We are close to current state of research connecting directly with academia and you will have exposure to many people forming the future of WM in a great, open minded and inspiring environment

Your expertise

You need have completed at least four semesters of your bachelor’s degree or have obtained your master’s degree within the last 6 months.

In particular, you have:

  • at least a bachelor’s degree in quantitative area (mathematics, statistics, econometrics, computer science, physics, economics, etc.)
  • sound knowledge of statistical and econometric methods and their application
  • solid programming skills, preferably in R, Matlab or Python
  • interest in financial markets (experience is a plus)

You are:

  • motivated, creative with strong can-do attitude
  • eager to use science to quantify portfolio risks
  • able to explain technical topics to a varied audience
  • fluent in English, both spoken and written

Perhaps you’ve organized a fundraising event or taken part in team sports? Or persevered and passed an exam in a subject you found challenging? Think about how things you’ve achieved match the skills we’re after.
