Fatigue & Damage Tolerance Engineer

What you do:

• Perform fatigue and damage tolerance analyses including the development of stress intensity factor solutions and residual strength analyses
• Perform detailed stress analysis (hand-calcs and FEM) in support of damage tolerance analysis
• Support the engineering change process as part of the continued serialization of the PC-24
• Production support (non-conformances) related to fatigue problems
• Evaluation of fatigue test results (full scale, component, coupen etc.) and flight test data
• Continued development of analysis methods and tools

What you bring:

• University Degree in a Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering discipline
• Minimum 5 years postgraduate experience in stress and Fatigue & Damage Tolerance analysis in the aircraft industry
• Familiarity with FEMAP or similar FEM packages and Fatigue & Damage Tolerance tools e.g. AFGROW, NASGRO, FRANC3D
• Familiarity with CS/FAR Part 23 or Part 25 Fatigue & Damage Tolerance requirements
• Good written and spoken English is essential, knowledge of German is advantageous
• An enthusiastic and motivated personality with a co-operative and open attitude who is able to work with minimal supervision as well as under challenging timescales
