Your role

Are you committed to making the world more sustainable? Do you believe “you can’t improve what you don’t measure”? We’re looking for someone like that to:

• support the Impact Accounting implementation at UBS to measure and value the banks’ impact on people and planet.
• be part of building the Sustainability Impact Valuation Calculator with the inclusion of portfolios across the full range of UBS’ businesses
• analyze data to verify hypothesis or to explore new opportunities with impact on efficiency and effectiveness.
• contribute and support the team effort by participating in stakeholder meetings.
• participate in the development of a Banking Sector Impact Accounting methodology and the UBS Impact Accounting policy.

Your team

You’ll be working in the Group Finance Impact Strategy team in Bärengasse 16, Zürich. We are a small international and diverse team positioned under the Group Finance Sustainability CFO. Team members are thinking out of the box, developing the innovative Impact Accounting framework across the bank. We collaborate closely with sustainability teams across the bank’s business divisions and functions and are members of international non-profit organizations specialized in developing Impact Accounting worldwide.

Your expertise

You need to have completed at least four semesters of your bachelor’s degree or have obtained your master’s degree within the last 6 months.

In particular, you have:

• an interest in working in a fast-paced international environment as part of a team
• at least four semesters at a university, preferably with a focus on business administration, sustainability, banking and finance, economics or similar
• fluency in English
• a gift for using numerical analysis, statistics and financial mathematics to solve practical problems
• experience with high-level programming language and statistical modeling software know-how is a benefit (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI, Phyton)
• previous experience in calculating CO2 footprint and working on sustainability topics is a benefit
