In this 50%-100 % role you are supporting the reporting and communicating of Zurich’s liquidity position as well as the capital position from an economic, regulatory and rating agency perspective. Furthermore you will be supporting ad hoc finance projects in the context of economic capital modelling and planning as well as liquidity.

Your role

As an Intern within Treasury Planning and Analytics your main responsibilities will involve:

  • Supporting the Group Capital Plan production which covers forecasting of internal and regulatory capital, rating agency metrics and return on equity as well as analyzing and understanding capital trends and impacts of M&A and capital actions
  • Supporting production of Group Liquidity Report which covers aspects such as the Group’s actual and forecasted liquidity, possible adverse scenarios that could affect the Group’s liquidity and possible liquidity needs from the Group’s main subsidiaries under normal conditions and in times of stress. This also includes applying a control framework to ensure all outputs are accurate and the reporting process is fit for purpose.
  • Supporting projects throughout the organization such as the Return on Capital Project that aims to provide management with an instrument to assess the performance of businesses and provide guidance to Business Units and Group management on how to manage growth, performance and balance sheet of their businesses

  • The position is for up to 4-6 months.

Your Skills and Experience

As an Intern within Treasury Planning and Analytics your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

  • Student (BSc or Master) in Economics, Business Administration or Finance-related discipline
  • Experience in financial industry is an asset
  • Corporate finance and IFRS accounting knowledge preferable
  • Curious mind with problem solving skills and a willingness to challenge the status quo
  • Structured personality with the ability to work on multiple tasks and to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Sound knowledge of MS-Office is required
  • and VBA programming skills are an asset
  • Fluent written and spoken English is essential
  • Able to work in a multi-cultural environment
