Group Audit is responsible for performing audits over the whole of Zurich’s operations globally. We are looking for an intern to join our Group Audit Corporate Center team, based in Zurich. As a member of this team you will get face time with, and the opportunity to interact with Group Audit Leadership team, as well as with the local country audit leaders and team members across the globe.

Your Role

As an intern within Group Audit your main responsibilities will involve supporting the Functional Audit Director with:

  • Audit planning activities including refinement and reinforcement of the audit planning process, refresh of the Regulatory Manual, collation of inputs from key stakeholders into a fortnightly Business Report, supporting Business Functional Audit Leaders (BFALs) with the quarterly planning cycle, support with Executive Committee presentations, and preparation of the annual Group Audit Plan Report and Addendum
  • Delivery activities including follow-up with BFALs and Portfolio Managers on operational management information, to ensure timely delivery, and an annual survey of Audit Committee Chairs and the Business Leadership team
  • Reporting activities including drafting of the Monthly Controls Reports (snap-shot of audit results), monthly Audit Issue Extracts, Entity / Country Summary Reports, Group and subsidiary Audit Committee Reports, Report for Group CEO and for lead regulator, FINMA

Your Skills and Experience

As an intern within Group Audit your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

  • Bachelor’s student in Economics, Accounting (completed minimum 3 semesters)
  • Methodical, rigorous attention to detail and able to identify issues and solve problems
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
  • Advanced skills in Excel (especially), Word and SharePoint is an advantage
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
