About the Programme
We are looking for graduates with strong interpersonal skills, who are eager to learn and broaden their knowledge and expertise. You have a Bachelor, Master or PhD degree with up to 3 years professional experience – we invite you to apply to our graduates@swissre programme 2020.

The programme offers you the chance to join the dynamic, fast-moving world of a leading risk knowledge organisation. Over an 18-month period, you’ll receive on-and-off-the-job training, including a job rotation that gives you the opportunity to work across different business units.

About the role
Are you passionate about joining a client facing team for the Mediterranean region?
• You will be at the heart of Swiss Re's reinsurance business, supporting us in developing opportunities for our reinsurance clients and building great relationships with new partners.
• Working together and learning from experienced client managers and underwriters, you will acquire and apply know-how for the analysis and underwriting of reinsurance treaties in property & casualty.
• We are looking for people with a wide skill set - you are able to dive into modelling, analysis and structuring, and you can communicate effectively and with empathy.
• You will help us in crafting and implementing tailor-made client solutions that enable joint business generation in a preferred partnership relation.
• You will observe market changes and technological developments; by combining your ideas with the needs of our clients, you will contribute to the development and the implementation of our market strategy.

About the team
You will join a core team of 3 people who coordinate a larger group of contributing experts. Located in Zurich, you may need to travel depending on business needs to meet clients. The team is a blend of experienced colleagues with a strong background in both client management and underwriting with a vast knowledge about the company and the reinsurance sector.

About You
• Successfully completed university degree
• Confirmed analytical skills; can pay attention to details without losing track of the bigger picture
• Strong communicative and interpersonal skills; assertive and emphatic vis-a vis clients, strategic partners or senior colleagues
• Approaches problems with curiosity and flexibility, is a fast learner
• Curiosity to learn about insurance and reinsurance
• Ability and enthusiasm to work in a global and multicultural environment, and to be mobile in terms of future workplace or location
• Passion to develop new ideas and implement them towards their monetisation
• Creative, showing a high degree of own initiative
• Team-player, willingness to contribute actively to the overall team spirit
• Capacity to readily adapt to a changing and dynamic environment
• Excellent oral and written English skills
