Your role
Are you passionate about financial markets and want to learn more about alternative investments? If you motivated and driven by responsibility you could be who we are seeking to:
- conduct quantitative and qualitative research and analysis on hedge funds and private markets
- develop asset allocation and portfolio tools
- collaborate with CIO peers and other wealth management teams to grow and support UBS’ Alternative Investment offering

Your team
The CIO WM Global Investment Office is responsible for the House View and investment strategy for UBS Wealth Management clients. You will be working in the Alternatives team within the CIO Global Asset Allocation unit in Zurich, a diverse group of experts that collaborate with all functions across UBS. As a dedicated Alternative Investment strategist, you will have the unique opportunity to shape the future of this space within Global Wealth Management.
Your expertise
You need have completed at least four semesters of your bachelor’s degree or have obtained your master’s degree within the last 6 months.
In particular, you have:
- a gift for using numerical analysis, statistics and financial mathematics to solve practical problems
- an interest in financial markets, numbers, models and products
- an autonomous, diligent and detail-oriented work style
- the ability stay on track, even when dealing with tight deadlines
- proven numerical and quantitative skills for understanding and applying quantitative models
- experience with high-level programming language and statistical modeling software know-how (like R, SAS, Matlab, Stata)
Perhaps you’ve organized a fundraising event or taken part in team sports? Or persevered and passed an exam in a subject you found challenging? Think about how things you’ve achieved match the skills we’re after.
