Your role

You aced your theoretical accounting skills in university? We’ve got the perfect internship for you! Snap the unique chance to build an excellent network across the bank and connect with stakeholders from various divisions, teams, and levels.
Our internal guidebook “Accounting in a Nutshell” needs a refresh and we’re looking for someone with an eye for detail who’s up for the challenge.
What would you do?

• connect with subject matter experts and check if the accounting procedures are up to date. For example: Are M&A fees income or expenses? Where are the UBS WM Trust locations? Or review the sources of FX Reval.
• implement and visualize the procedures according to UBS brand structure
• discuss priorities, drive progress and coordinate within the project team, prepare and communicate status updates
• collaborate in a professional and responsive manner with the stakeholders

Your team

You’ll be working in a financial controllers team in Zurich Altstetten. Our team is accountable for the financial statements of the Swiss entities and the underlying accounting and reporting processes. It is part of Financial Accounting & Controlling Switzerland, embedded in a dynamic international environment with day-to-day exposure to many other functions and teams across the bank.

Your expertise

You need have completed at least four semesters of your bachelor’s degree or have obtained your master’s degree within the last 6 months.

In particular, you have:

• a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting / finance / economics
• comfortable in interacting with colleagues and subject matter experts at all levels
• motivated, team-oriented, collaborative and responsive attitude
• accounting knowledge, interested in accounting and Group Treasury topics, banking products, business partnering
• very good command of MS Office (especially Power Point, Excel, Word)
• very good German and English (written and oral)

Perhaps you’ve organized a fundraising event or taken part in team sports? Or persevered and passed an exam in a subject you found challenging? Think about how things you’ve achieved match the skills we’re after.
