About the role

Be part of the Group Capital Steering team! This role provides an outstanding opportunity to develop an in-depth understanding of Swiss Re’s capital management. As Capital Management Analyst, you will support the team in all aspects related to monitoring and steering the financial performance of Swiss Re Group.

This includes:

  • Support the Group Capital and Funding plan process, including updates through the year of the capital and liquidity position

  • Participate in the production of reports presented to Group Committees

  • Analyse value of Swiss Re’s businesses with a focus on capital usage and efficiency, including comparisons to peers

  • Contribute to the Own Risk & Solvency Assessment process

  • Contribute to valuation and cost of equity analyses, including identification of key value drivers

  • Engage in Group Strategy Development and Performance Management analyses

About the team

Our team is part of Group Strategy, Financial Planning & Analysis and Capital Steering within Group Treasury. You will contribute to Group Treasury’s mission to provide, steer and optimise the financial resources of the firm to build value for shareholders and internal partners. We collaborate intensively with others within Treasury and outside Treasury including Risk Management, Investor Relations, Principal Investments & Acquisitions, Asset Management and Business Unit Finance departments.

About You

  • Successfully completed university degree demonstrating strong quantitative abilities (e.g. Mathematics, Physics, Actuarial Science, Engineering, Finance, Economics)

  • Strong analytical skills and can focus on details without losing track of the bigger picture

  • Strong curiosity about/motivation to learn about insurance/reinsurance

  • Approaches problems with curiosity and open-mindedness, is a fast learner

  • Capacity to readily adapt to a changing and dynamic environment

  • Team-player, willingness to contribute actively to the overall team spirit

  • Ability to express yourself effectively in one-on-one conversations and small groups

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

  • Excellent oral and written English skills

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
